Hello,

I am from India and currently visiting USA on B2 visa. I recently got a job with a very reputed firm in US and applied for an H1B but my application reached USCIS after the H1B quota was full.

I really want to work for my new employer and would like to know what other options do I have to obtain work permit in USA other than L1 Visa?

If it is a non profit research org or institute of higher education then H1 will not be counted towards quota. On the other hand if you have the credentials you can try for "O" VISA

I have a similar question. My EB-3 PD is August 2005 (I-140 was approved but I never filed the I-485 because of retrogression). Few months back I found out that the employer had withdrawn/revoked the I-140. Now my employer is getting ready to file my EB-2 I-140 and my question is: Can we retain/interfile the priority date from 2005? I know the answer is yes but I am looking for examples where any fellow member was able to successfully do so. Thanks!

I am on 6th year and need to extend my h1b. My lawyer informs me that 45day letter from Backlog center is enough for 7th year extension.

I thought we need to get the screen-shot of pending labor as a proof for 7th year extension.

Does anyone got extension based on 45day letter for the 7th year or beyond....???

Hello,
I need to renew my H1 for the 9th year and was wondering if I need to pay the ACWIA fee of $1500. It seems employers who are filing for a 2nd extension are exempt from paying. Does it apply also to cases beyond the 2nd extension?

It has to be 693 as per my understanding. The doctors usually have their versions of 693, in multipart (3-4). I think the 4th part is green and is intended to be your copy. Along with 693 there is a supplement page for vaccinations etc.

Need help

I have approved labor for PD 2004 and I-140 got rejected in Dec'2006 due to education credential with 3 year degree. currently my I-290 is pending with AAO appeal for more than 10 months and my extension is based on that.

New labor is filed in June'2007 and got approved in September. I-140 is pending for the new labor.

My Current extension is getting expired in January 2008. If I get premium processed my extension on old case and if my appeal gets denied will my extension or my status gets invalid or I have valid extension upto next January to get other I-140 approval ?

Please let me know ASAP so I can request premium process for extension.

Hi,

I am planning to go to India for 3 months. I have EAD and AP, H1B visa stamping valid till 08/30/2010. Now I am on EAD.

From past 3 months, I don’t have project, so I am thinking to go India and come back in the month of Jan 2010 (if US market improves).

My wife is working on EAD and she will be staying in US.

What are the problems I may face at POE, US? (Possible Chicago POE)

Please let me know, what r all docs required and what r all questions will be asked, if I enter on AP or on valid H1B visa stamp.

Well this came out of nowhere. Last night the Senate passed an emergency border enforcement bill that provides $600 million for increased security on the southern US border.
