Hi

i recently got H1 Extension stamping ( Till 2011 ) and also have AP Expires in Nov 2008 .
I am working on H1 and not interested to use EAD .Do i still need to renew my EAD and AP?

just a tip not cool to hijack someone else' thread. on your question: If you are planning on being with the H1 sponsoring employer for the next few years no point renewing your EAD or AP. However they are two seperate filings. You don't need to have a valid EAD in order to apply for an AP renewal or vice versa. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I am on L1B with I94 expiring on April 2012 from Company X, I found an employer Company Y who will file my H1B in June/July 2011 under premium processing. If H1B is approved then:
1. Can I work under Company X till Sep end and join Company Y from 1st Oct without any hassel?
2. Will my status will change automatically from L1 to H1 from Oct 1st onwards?
3. Will my new H1b will be valid until April 2012 only? as my current i94 (on L1B) is till April 2012?
4. I can travel to India and return in Sep 2011 using my existing L1B? Will there be any problem in port of entry? I have traveled using L1B to-from India multiple times, but I am concerned now because I will be having H1b approved along with L1B.
5. Is there anything special I have to ask the employer before filing H1b so I can go and return from India on my L1b status?

I was just checking my H1b extension status and it seems that it got approved (3 weeks time). while looking for my H1b extension status i happen to find the link below,

USCIS: National Processing Volumes and Trends (http://dashboard.uscis.gov/)

It gives the processing trends by month based on trends or volume of application processed. This dashboard is for all applications forms submitted to USCIS, you can select form type, office and chart type. Data can also be downloaded in CSV raw format for analysis.

i was in same situation. my wife's AP was approved and mine not, before leaving US, so i went for h1 stamping but, my wife didnt. on return, i entered on H1 and she entered on AP.

SFO port. they asked her to go to secondary inspection room, had to wait for 1/2 hr. they called her name, no questions asked, gave her docs back. we both were in.

this was back in Feb'09. i work directly for F100, popular company.

Hi,

Need quick suggestion:

Company A filed for GC. Labor and I-140 was approved. I-485 was filed during July 2007.

I changed employer in June 2009; replied to RFE and filed AC21 in July 2009.

I came to know that my GC sponsring company is going to close the company soon. My current immigration attorney is suggesting that if that happens; and if INS came to know that GC sponsring company is closing down, they will revoke my I-140.

Is it true? I thought after AC21 is invoked; whatever happens to GC sponsring company, it will not impact my GC application in any way.

Please advice.

Please submit contracts, statements of work, work orders, service agreements or letters from/with end-client firms requiring computer related services of the beneficiary. Evidence from other consultants or employment agencies not acceptable. The requested evidence should show specialty occupation work with the actual end-client company where the work will ultimately performed.

My company is big (250+) so why such?? if somebody had same RFE or any guidance or help regarding such matter is higly appreciated.

Hi
My fiancee is currently on H1B (got through the 2008 quota) and I am currently on F1 visa status. She is planning to go on an F2 as my dependent.

Please clarify these doubts:
When she gets a job while she is on F2 and the new employer processes her H1B does she have to go through the whole process of H1B as a new visa issue (annual cap) or is it like an H1B transfer?

Once going from H1B to F2, is there a certain time period one has to wait before one can go back to H1B?

If the F2 application is pending, is it possible to reapply from F2 back to H1B?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
