Still some Senators does not understand difference between H1b issue and GC backlog and how can they understand the Administrative issue like this. But Congress women Lofgren will get reply for her letter from DOS and USCIS.
I called the congresswomen and senator from our constituencies. They do not have any idea what I am talking about. I think I made them more confused than ever.
We need to come up with a letter format, which can be printed and send it to them by mail as well as we need to have web fax with a clear message.

please post ideas on how we can all collectively address such issues. We have to spread awareness, get attention from law makers, remove the fear instilled into minds of people, guide people in the right direction.
Ideas and suggestions are welcome.
I would say we should start with local congressional office. Every case whether it is resolved or not should be taken to the attention of local congressional office.
If members volunteer to do this, we could distribute districts among ourselves and take care of each district's congressional office. In that way we could raise the awareness among the lawmakers. I do agree that not every office will be friendly to immigrants like my district's congressional office, but we have to try.

You can change the assumption of the calculations. 750,000 are anticipated number of applicants. Now, even if u reduce it by half, i.e. 375,000, the wait could be more than a year long.
Plus we do not know if there are 10 or 100 people working on EAD stuff. Lower this number , longer would be the wait.
I don't believe all 750000 are EAD wannabies!

I think this is a valid question that is being asked and should be answered by IV core. Am always intrigued by our behind the scenes effort and the heck that is going on. I do not want to cross the line and judge the integrity on IV core, but would really like to know exactly what we are up to. At least we need to periodic conf calls and announcement of our efforts (and I understand there needs to be some secrecy with anti-immig watching us closely).

Well, you could still try and apply in EB2, as you mentioned earning a master's degree.
I am one of those who came in 98 on F1 and went through 3 different GC processes (all EB2) to finally see the CPO email now. No regrets though, as I changed employers a few times (resulting in dropping the first two GC processes) to achieve growth (higher salaries, actually).

So I wonder....should the dream act come through....could it work in my favor too lol? I came through no choice of my own (though legally) with my parents....
And do i get a GC for beating everyone on here :)
