I have applied EAD for my wife... while applying I misspelt my wife's first name and I haven't selected any service center, seems it automatically choosen NSC... but my 485 applied under TSC and the dates here are best like May 20, 2008 and the NBC is Mar 31, 2008...
How can I correct the name, can I do it at the time of finger print?

I already sent email to EAD Deptt... In the meanwhile, I wd like to find from many experienced people like you...

Talk to an attorney he should be able to kiss your employer's ass with lot of things.
If your employer is paying more than what is mentioned in H1B, then you cannot do anything.
If you are working on % basis, then forget about 14k if till you work for him, prorate of H1B pay is paid.

My friend's 485 is pending with CIS and he is working on EAD. He currently does not hold any other visa. In fact his last H1 expired more than a year ago. We recently tried to renew his EAD online on USCIS website. However, we were stumped by a question which asks the applicant about his/her current immigration status in US. It was a drop down box and had many options like H1, L1 etc, but there was no option for somebody like him whose current status is just "AOS pending".
How do we get around this? Do you think it is best to apply on paper?

Folks,
I hope someone can help me out here. Here's my situation -- I am EB2 with PD of May 24th 2006 (current date is May 8th 2006).
I applied for my I-485 September 2008 and have had EAD for more than a year now. However, I got married in Feb 2009 (after my 485 application) and never had a chance to add my wife to the application (she's on H4).
Now, I really really want to change my job (not change of role/title, just change of company).
How does it work if I change companies now? I don't want to or rather can't use EAD since that will make my wife's status invalid. Now, if I am to get a H1B transfer, what happens with my GC application given I already have my EAD with the current company??
Please advise. Thank you!

Do priority dates matter now?
with the deluge of applications that will be filed,will the priority dates matter anymore?
lets say someone with a priority date of Dec 2006 (EB2-ROW) applied for 485 in Feb 2007...will his case be processed before a person with a September 2005 priority date that filed in July 2007 (EB2-India)?
so other than allowing us to file the 485 the priority date has no value?

I just got off infopass appt. after talking to someone in USCIS serv center.
was told that the case is in the examination section. He did not give me any details as he said thats all what he sees on the screen.
any one tell me what that means and how long could it before they will adjudicate?

Company A has file for H1B and it got stamped. I came to USA last week and did not join them (Company A) as they were not able to provide me job and were asking me to delay my trip to USA. Now last week monday they (Company A) said they will terminate my visa and will report to USCIS. My new employer has yet not applied for H1B transfer. So i wanted to know how much time do i have left to do it (H1B Trasfer). Suppose Company A filed for visa cancellation on 11th June, Monday. Please let me know if there would be any problem in filing for H1B transfer now as Company A has filed for cancellation before I file for H1B Transfer.
I would appreciate a detiled reply.

Other than name check are there any other stuff we should be aware of to get the green card.
With this new 180 day rule can I get my GC even if my Namecheck is not complete in 180 days. Is so once my PD is current and my 485 application has crossed the processing times can i go ahead and demand (please note demand) my green card or should i just leave it to luck and keep waiting hoping i will get it soon. sorry for sounding so sorrowful but the process seems to be very happazard.

Hello Members,
I noticed that the dates on my i-765, i-131 and i-485 changed to 9/1/2008 today. This has not changed since I got my EAD. None of my wife's dates have changed. Does this mean anything? The things I have done lately that might (or might not) have caused this:
- Called CSR to check on status. She asked me to call back as my processing dates are not current yet.
- my lawyer sent G-28 so they could check on any information for me.
Here is some info:
i-140: 9/26/2005
i-485: 7/23/2007
EB-2

The big question is that why the so called "IV leadership" is not filling a FOIA request for how many EB3-I cases pending till date. Infact they should ask numbers for all the categories and their priority dates. It should be simple SQL query for USCIS.
This is such a burning issue and so many people are suffering from it. I still don't get it why would IV is not raising this issue... Can some one from leadership group respond please.......
